Methods. Overall, 163 freshmen students (57 handball players, 51 football players and 55 basketball players) were enrolled. To assess the influence of training practices in team-sport gameson the level of theoretical knowledge and tactical thinking of ZNU students, we conducted and analyzed the dynamics of the relevant indicators. The recorded data was compared at the beginning and end of the study. The levels of theoretical knowledge and tactical thinking of the students involved in basketball, handball and football was assessed using the innovation computer program. Results. It was observed that most of the investigated characteristics in all studied groups of students steadily improved during the year. The tactical thinking level of student athletes with excellent value in performance football was 15.69%; in handball – 33.33%; in basketball – 14.55%. The theoretical thinking level of student athletes with excellent value in performance football was 19.61%; in handball –36.84%; in basketball – 16.36%. Conclusions. Method: Eighty five women with late symptoms of post-mastectomy syndrome were enrolled in the study. The participants were randomly enrolled for the first individualized program (Main Group, n=45) and for the second individualized program (Comparison Group, n=40). The first program included aqua aerobics (aqua jogging, aqua building, aqua stretching), conditional swimming, and recreational aerobics; the second program included conditional swimming and Pilates exercises. Results: It was found that most of the investigated anthropometry and goniometry parameters in both groups steadily improved during the year of rehabilitation. After 6 months of rehabilitation the average values of active range of flexion and abduction were statistically higher in women Main Group compared with Comparison Group by 10 degrees (p<0.001) and 6.43 degrees (p<0.01), respectively. The severity of lymphedema in the Main Group was significantly lower at the area of forearm by 0.39 cm (p<0.05) compared with Comparison Group. Material and Methods: A total of 115 breast cancer patients met the eligibility criteria and completed the study. Participants were randomly allocated for the water exercise interventions (group A, n = 45), for the Pilates exercise interventions (group B, n = 40), and yoga exercise interventions (group C, n = 30). The 3 groups attended relevant programs for 1 year and received 144 rehabilitation sessions. Quality of life parameters were assessed using the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy questionnaire with a specific module for breast cancer patients (FACT-B). Quality of life data were recorded at baseline and after 6 and 12 months of exercise interventions. Results: A significant increase in quality of life indicators was observed in participants of all groups. Based on the results of the 12-month monitoring, patients of group A scored significantly more points for emotional well-being compared with group B and group C by 1.40 points (P < .05) and 1.69 points (P < .01), respectively, as well as by breast cancer subscale by 2.15 points (P < .05) compared with group B. Patients in group C scored significantly better compared with group A in social/family well-being by 2.80 points (P < .01). Conclusions: It was found that using water exercise intervention is more effective for improving emotional well-being and decreasing negative symptoms associated with breast cancer treatment compared with Pilates and yoga interventions, while yoga was more effective in improving social/family well-being. Currently breast cancer treatment has contributed to signifcant improvements in survival rate, but negative efects on the psycho-emotional state and functionality of the autonomic nervous system of these interventions in women is high. We aimed to investigate the heart rate variability features in breast cancer survivors who have varied attitudes towards the disease. Material and methods: Heart rate variability analysis, determination of various attitudes towards the disease, and mathematical statistical methods. The survey of 110 breast cancer survivors was conducted utilizing Type of Attitude Toward The Disease questionnaire. The women were executed radical mastectomy and adjuvant radiation treatment for breast cancer. Patients aged between 56 and 60 years. Results: The results of our study showed that patients with a rational type of attitude towards disease had statistically (p<0.05) better parameters of heart rate variability. Values of standard deviation of the N-N interval, root mean square of successive diferences, total power, high-frequency range, and stress index were much better in patients with rational type of attitude as compared with the women who had intrapsychic and interpsychic attitudes. Purpose: to determine effectiveness of problem-oriented program of women’s physical rehabilitation with post mastectomy syndrome in improvement of upper limb’s functional state. Material: 50 women with early symptoms of post mastectomy syndrome at stationary rehabilitation stage, who underwent radical mastectomy by Madden were involved in the research. Testing of movement amplitude in shoulder joint, swelling of upper limb and muscular strength of hand’s flexors was conducted on 2nd day after surgery and at the end of stationary rehabilitation period (12-14th day). Results: Main means of the authors’ program were: general and special physical exercises; static and dynamic breathing exercises; breathing through preloaded lips, controlled coughing, autogenic drainage, manual pressing, manual vibration; post-isometric relaxation; elements of labor therapy; lymphatic drainage massage and self massage; topical talks; consultations; auto training. The trainings were conducted individually 2-3 times a day; 20-30 minutes every session. The patients’ independent trainings included: fulfillment of therapeutic positions, self-massage, relaxation exercises and auto-training. Purpose: to determine purposefulness of early application of physical rehabilitation means for improvement of external respiration system functional state of women with post mastectomies syndrome. Material: in the research 135 women with post mastectomies syndrome, who endured radical mastectomy by Madden, participated. Women of main groups were trained in compliance with appropriate programs during one year. Effectiveness of trainings was controlled after half of year. Admission to trainings was given by oncologist. Patients of these groups belonged to third clinical group. At the beginning of dispensary period the groups were equal by all indicators of external system function. Results: it was found that early rehabilitation is more effective exclusively for indicators of bronchial patency. Complex, personality oriented program included: aqua-fitness; conditional swimming; health related aerobic and Pilates. It was found that after half year training advantages of early physical rehabilitation were noticed only in indicators of forced exhale volume at first second. The methodology of the work.The expert assessment was conducted for direct participants, such as trainers of the training and competitive process of Super League Ukrainian teams, "Motor" and "ZTR". Results. According to the generalized estimations of experts, which we interpret as a holistic assessment of control system in training and competitive activity for highly qualified handball teams in the annual training macrocycle 2017-2018.It has been defined by its compliance with the essential task of the training system. Most assessments of the criteria were within full compliance with their requirements. Thus, the highest scores recorded for the purpose and validity of the criteria (by 3.78 and 3.81 points); presentation of information and coordination of control components (by 3.74 and 3.67 points); costs (by 3.59 points); completeness of the information (by 3.56 points); the value of information (by 3.41 points); determinism (by 3.19 points) and speed of decision (by 3.11 points). Another two assessments of criteria were closer to the high level and accounted for the continuity of the content of information and the frequency of control 2.96 and 2.78 points. Conclusions. The confirmed effectiveness of the development on the basis of our concept, control system of training and competitive activity of highly qualified handball teams in the annual preparation of the macrocycles. Additional components of burnout are characterized by cupping of stress that can be led to depersonalization. As a result, depersonalization reflected in the reduction of personal achievements in sport and the team as well. There are minimal researches of this condition, especially in handball. The current study examines the determine the degree of burnout in female handball players, depending on phases of ovarian-menstrual cycle (OMC). Data were analyzed via descriptive statistics, method of averages and selective method and correlation analysis. Diagnosis of the psychological state of the qualified female handball players showed that increased levels of burnout were observed in the menstrual, ovulatory and premenstrual phases, which indicated a significant tension mechanisms of psychological adaptation. It proved the presence of the connection between the level of the dominant emotional burnout phase and OMC phases. Due to the fact in handball, as a team sport, there are requirements for individual and team work. There is an urgent need for a leveling effect of the specific characteristics of the female body on the effectiveness of the training process and competitive activities. The study investigated the effects of hatha yoga on range of motion and strength in women with breast cancer. Methods. A total of 93 patients completed the study. Their mean age was 57.53 ± 1.92 years in the yoga group and 58.10 ± 1.17 years in the control group. The yoga group (n = 48) received hatha yoga intervention for 3 months; the control group (n = 45) received current best practice care, including recommendation about compression sleeves, skin protection, and care of the affected arm. The control group was offered hatha yoga intervention after the final measurement. The outcomes were dynamometry and shoulder range of motion to analyse the functional capacity of the affected upper limb. Results. After 3 months of performing hatha yoga, the active shoulder range of motion improved significantly in the affected limb and was significantly higher than in the control group: by 76.76° for flexion (p < 0.001), by 18.92° for extension (p < 0.001), by 80.21° for abduction (p < 0.001), by 33.29° for internal rotation (p < 0.001), by 27.36° for external rotation (p < 0.01). Strength for wrist flexion and power index in the affected limb improved by 6.0 kg (p < 0.001) and 8.25% (p < 0.001), respectively, in the yoga group and only by 1.1 kg (p > 0.05) and 1.44% (p > 0.05) in the control group. Conclusions. Hatha yoga is more beneficial than usual care for improving active shoulder range of motion and upper limb strength.Анотація Вступ. Дослідження досліджувало вплив хатха -йоги на діапазон рухів і силу у жінок з раком молочної залози. Методи. Всього дослідження завершили 93 пацієнти. Їх середній вік становив 57,53 ± 1,92 років у групі йоги та 58,10 ± 1,17 років у контрольній групі. Група йоги (n = 48) протягом 3 місяців отримувала втручання з хатха -йоги; контрольна група (n = 45) отримала сучасний найкращий практичний догляд, включаючи рекомендації щодо стиснення рукавів, захисту шкіри та догляду за ураженою рукою. Контрольній групі було запропоновано втручання з хатха -йоги після остаточного вимірювання. Результатами були динамометрія та плечове суглоб діапазон рухів для аналізу функціональної здатності ураженої верхньої кінцівки. Результати. Після 3 місяців виконання хатха -йоги активний діапазон рухів плечей у постраждалих значно покращився кінцівка і була значно вищою, ніж у контрольній групі: на 76,76 ° при згинанні (р <0,001), на 18,92 ° при розгинанні (р <0,001), на 80,21 ° для відведення (p <0,001), на 33,29 ° для внутрішнього обертання (p <0,001), на 27,36 ° для зовнішнього обертання (p <0,01).
