Документ Effect of individualized physical rehabilitation programs on respiratory function in women with post-mastectomy syndrome(2019) Odinets, Tatiana; Briskin, Yuriy; Pityn, Maryan; Одинець, Тетяна; Бріскін, Юрій; Пітин, Мар'янPurpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of an individualized physical rehabilitation programs aimed at improving respiratory function in women with postmastectomy syndrome. Methods: In a randomized controlled trial 50 women with post-mastectomy syndrome were enrolled in the experimental group (EG, n = 25) or the comparison group (CG, n = 25). The program for the EG included: aqua aerobics (i.e. aqua jogging, aqua building, and aqua stretching); conditional swimming; and recreational aerobics. The program for the CG included: conditional swimming and Pilates exercises. Both intervention groups attended individualized physical rehabilitation programs three times per week for 48 weeks. The primary outcome measure was spirometry of the patients measured before, 6 and 12 months after the intervention. Results: This study demonstrated that most of the respiratory function parameters increased significantly in both groups over the year of exercise training. After the year of training the individualized physical rehabilitation program for the EG was significantly better (p < 0.01) as compared with the CG, except for inspiratory reserve volume and maximal voluntary ventilation, which were not statistically different. Conclusions: The results of the study suggest that individual programs of physical rehabilitation could be considered effective for the improvement of respiratory function of the patients with post-mastectomy syndrome. The results obtained could serve as a basis for more widespread clinical program development.Документ Impact of personality-oriented programs of physical rehabilitation on the heart rate variability in women with post-mastectomy syndrome(2016) Odinets, Tatiana; Briskin, YuriyДокумент Influence of the problem-oriented program of physical rehabilitation on the type of attitude to the disease in women with postmastektomy syndrome(2016) Briskin, Yuriy; Odinets, Tatiana; Pityn, MaryanДокумент Influence of the problem-oriented program of physical rehabilitation on the type of attitude to the disease in women with postmastektomy syndrome(2016) Briskin, Yuriy; Odinets, Tatiana; Pityn, MaryanThe investigation of the types of attitudes toward diseases is an integral part of developing a specific psychological and physical rehabilitation program for patients with different diseases. Objective: We aimed to determine the types of attitude changes toward the disease in women with post-mastectomy syndrome via the influence of a problem-oriented program of physical rehabilitation. Methods: theoretical analysis of scientificmethodic literature data; Internet and empirical data; sociological methods (surveys); mathematical statistical methods. Materials: In total, 50 women were involved in the research, and the women exhibited early symptoms of post-mastectomy syndrome. The study was conducted during their stationary rehabilitation stage after they underwent a radical mastectomy by Madden. Results: We revealed attitudes that included a relatively adequate adaptation and those that were accompanied by symptoms of psychological maladjustment (intra- and interpsychical). The intra-pychical mental maladjustment attitudes included anxiousness and a neurasthenic and diffuse response toward the disease. For maladjustments with an inter-psychical orientation, the presence of sensitive and egocentric attitudes toward the disease were observed. Conclusions: The results indicate that the developed problem-oriented program for the physical rehabilitation of women with post-mastectomy syndrome increases the number of women with a rational attitude toward the disease and reduces inter- and intra-psychic mental maladjustment compared with traditional physical rehabilitation.
