Physical fitness of young pupils engaged in the health gymnastics

Numerous studies conducted in recent years indicate an unfavorable trend in children ’s health, which prompts the optimization of schoolchildren ’s physical activity outside of school hours. The purpose of the study is to determine the level of physical development and physical fitness of children of primary school age. Methods: analysis and generalization; sociological methods; pedagogical observation; methods of assessing the level of physical development and physical fitness; methods of mathematical statistics. The research was conducted on the basis of the sports complex of the Ivan Boberskij Lviv State University of Physical Culture. 33 children, 18 girls and 15 boys, participated in the study.
