The success of a higher education applicant in the management activities of the field of physical culture and sports depends on professionalism. To do this, a person must acquire professional competencies during the educational process in a higher education institution. All responsibility lies with scientific and pedagogical workers, who, through the introduction of innovative technologies, form personalities who are ready to manage qualitatively in organizations in the field of physical culture and sports. An important condition in the formation of professional competence of managers is the use of methods that contribute to their motivation for active action in the educational process and in future professional activities, such as: lecture-training; lecture-discussion; problematic lecture; seminarconference; coaching method; facilitation methods: feedback method, business and roleplaying games, case-study, feedback method, circle survey, "World Cafe", "Brainstorming"; multimedia support; involvement of practicing managers in open classes. It is analyzed and proved that in the process of implementation of innovative methods of pedagogical influence, the effective formation of managerial competence of specialists in physical culture and sports and the formation of competitive personalities in the labor market is carried out.
