The role of technologies in the formation of students’ digital competence: adapting to the requirements of modern society

Abstract

The formation of digital competence among higher education seekers requires a systematic and in-depth approach. The conceptual approach to this process involves not only teaching specific technical skills but also developing the knowledge and skills necessary for effective adaptation to the digital environment and successful use of digital technologies. Digital transformation influences various aspects of education, including information, library and archival affairs. It is important to understand that this transformation is taking place in the context of the students’ general competencies, in particular in the “Information, Library and Archival Science” sector, which is being implemented in Ukraine. This means that the development of digital competence should be integrated into the overall educational process in the specified specialty. The prospects of digitalization of higher education open up new opportunities for the professional development of young professionals. However, in order to achieve these benefits, it is necessary to focus the educational process on developing the ability to critically evaluate the reliability of information from the Internet. This will ensure the lifelong learning experience in today's environment, where access to information is unlimited, but its quality does not always meet the standards of reliability and objectivity. Формування цифрової компетентності у здобувачів вищої освіти вимагає системного і глибокого підходу. Концептуальний підхід до цього процесу передбачає не лише навчання конкретним технічним навичкам, а й розвиток знань та навички, необхідні для ефективної адаптації до цифрового середовища та успішного використання цифрових технологій. Цифрова трансформація впливає на різні аспекти освіти, в тому числі інформаційної, бібліотечної та архівної справи. Важливо, щоб зрозуміти, що ця трансформація відбувається в контексті загальні компетенції, зокрема за напрямом «Інформатика, бібліотекознавство та архівознавство» сектора, який впроваджується в Україні. Це означає, що розвиток о цифрова компетентність повинна бути інтегрована в загальний освітній процес у зазначена спеціальність. Перспективи цифровізації вищої освіти відкривають нові можливості професійного розвитку молодих спеціалістів. Проте в Щоб досягти цих переваг, необхідно зосередити навчальний процес на розвиток умінь критично оцінювати достовірність інформації з в Інтернет. Це забезпечить досвід навчання протягом усього життя в сучасних умовах, де доступ до інформації необмежений, але її якість не завжди відповідає стандарти достовірності та об'єктивності.
